Hi, my valued guest. Get comfy and make yourself at home. Let me know if there is any topic you would like me to cover to make your stay more enjoyable. My Welcome mat is out 24/7 and there will always be a place for you in my blog.

Social media is my passion: I eat it, I breath it and have been known to gently caress it. I have a background as a marketing professional and business development officer for a tech company and have my foot in the social media pool as a social media advisor.

I’m also a social entrepreneur and strongly believe that social gaming has the potential to help real-world charities–the time is today. Social gaming for good is a movement that’s well underway. I have a business degree from Simon Fraser University and Media Techniques and Management certificate from British Columbia Institute of Technology. For me, learning / education is a life-long process.

For more about me, feel free to check out my other online profiles at http://about.me/lauraleewalker.

What’s unique about me? I’ve lived in Bangkok, Thailand where I studied international business. I will eat almost anything once and I like it when things are organized in sets of three.

What can you expect from my blog? Help navigating the world of technology, especially social media, by creating a fun space to collaborate and pool our knowledge together. Many of my posts are designed to make you laugh and learn along the way.

  2. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and adventures in technology. I have been interested in tech pretty much all my life, and recently, things have gotten a bit LARGE, and the possibilities to tap into existing infrastructure make me feel like it’s time to take the tech by the horns, and connect!!! Keep up the good work!

  3. Thank you for your post! I’m excited for you and your burgeoning presence on the web. I’ve just started my own blog, and created my first YouTube video and this type of creating and sharing is quickly becoming an addiction, almost surpassing my love for cheese (my favourite being Manchego), but not quite! What do you use to edit your YouTube videos?

You really seem to have the recipe for building a strong personal brand. Very exciting!

For me, creating and sharing is the most vibrant when we take some of our walls down, let are creativity flourish, explore our curiosities in life and others and like a child playing with his digger in the sandbox, be driven by the sheer desire to have fun!

I follow Chris Brogan on Twitter. I consider him to be one of my mentors. I just wrote a blog called “10 Things I’ve Learned from Reading Social Media 101 by Chris Brogan”. I added him after I bought a book that he wrote called Social Media 101 and loved the read. Despite being extremely successful, he comes across as being humble and generous and that’s a thing of beauty!

    Good luck to you!!!
